Kansas City Mutual Aid

Solidarity, not charity

If you’re a Greater Kansas City resident who has lost income because of the Covid-19 crisis, this mutual aid app is for you. If you’re a resident whose income has remained relatively stable, this mutual aid app is also for you.

We don’t believe the scarcity myth, that tells us there is not enough to go around. We want to encourage the sharing of resources in our community, especially during crisis, because we know that some of us may have more than we need, while others not enough. If you find yourselves with an abundance of resources/funds/etc during this time, we highly encourage you to share, and give directly to a neighbor through this app.

100% of all donations go directly to a neighbor seeking mutual aid.

There are multiple ways to donate:

  1. Donate directly to a neighbor and include a note via our app: outlawmutualaid.com

  2. Send us funds and we will redistribute them for you!

    • Venmo: @themerryoutlaw

    • CashApp: $merryoutlaw

    • Paypal: lindsay@themerryoutlaw.com

  3. Utilize our tax-deductible option!

    • If you prefer to make a larger, tax-deductible donation*, you may do that here. We will use your donation to fill emergency cash requests that have not yet been met.

*The Merry Outlaw is a sponsored project of Community Capital Fund (CCF), a Kansas City, Missouri non-profit service organization (45-4561134). Contributions for the charitable purposes of The Merry Outlaw must be made payable to “Community Capital Fund” only. Donations through The Merry Outlaw website are set up to be paid to CCF/AltCap who will then redistribute funds to The Merry Outlaw to follow sponsorship protocol.  Your donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Learn more about CCF at www.ccfkansascity.org.
